About Richard Weirich
Richard Weirich has a wealth of professional life experiences including musician, radio personality, advertising sales, internet marketing consultant, and Southern Baptist pastor. He is a husband, father, grandfather, and most importantly, a Christian.
Richard grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the town of Strasburg. After graduation from the Armed Forces School of Music he played trombone in the U.S. Navy Band. It was during that time he became interested in radio. In the years that followed Richard worked at radio stations in Norfolk, Winchester, and Harrisonburg, Virginia. From there his radio career included stops in Charlotte, NC; Birmingham, AL; Jackson, MS; Tampa, FL and Houston, TX. In his radio days Richard was best known as Burt of the popular morning duo, Burt and Kurt.
Richard’s ministry preparation included Southeastern Bible College and Samford University. He has served as the pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Sumiton, AL and Valley Creek Baptist Church in Hueytown, AL.
Today Richard works as an internet marketing consultant and a media consultant for AT&T Advertising Solutions. The Forever Notebook is rooted in God’s word and is written to inspire, motivate, instruct, and encourage Christians as they face the many challenges of life. Richard strives for sound theology and a balanced representation of the whole counsel of God. His writing style is conversational, warm, witty, reflective, and compassionate presented in an easy to understand format with application for Christians at any level of spiritual maturity.
Someone recently asked Richard why he took on this daily project. Richard responded, “I write as an expression of gratitude for all that God has done in my life. My desire is that others might know the Lord and experience His powerful presence in their lives.”
Richard believes that “No matter where you are in life, no matter what you are facing, God can help. With Christ there is no such thing as a day without hope. The best is yet to come. “
